Great video. I am a big "numbers person" and it drives my wife crazy so I really pay close attention to my gas mileage. I drove a 2008 Impala which averaged about 28 MPG and I drive 104 mile round trip and on my days of work and probably put another 300 miles per week on my days off for a total of about 2700 miles per month. I kept telling her I wanted a hybrid. I decided on a Prius and just bought one about a month ago. My son-in-law laughed at me and almost disowned me until we were at the gas station together and his truck took $62 to fill and I couldn't even squeeze $20 into my Prius and it was on empty....now who's laughing.

I'm thinking of moving to Los Angeles and gas there is $2.99 at Costco. Gas can go up to $5 a gallon in L.A. sometimes. I already bought a 2011 Prius 4. Driving a Gen 2 Prius is basically like cutting the gas prices in half compared to a normal car.
Gen 3 like cutting the gas prices by 53%
Driving a Gen 4 Prius is like cutting it by 60% and Driving a Prius Plus In Gen 4 is like cutting the gas prices by $75.

Awesome video! I currently drive a used Nissan Leaf 100% electric car. I purchased it used for $7, 000 dollars. I get anywhere from 60 to 80 miles per charge. It only takes me 1 minute to charge the battery. I get that number because I plug the car in when I get home, so it is charging while I am sleeping. Again great video.

Hi. I just got a 2009 prius. Been driving a Ford 78 miles a day to work and back so similar numbers to you. Fuel in the UK is over 7 dollars a gallon and it's expensive... Hopefully my prius is problem free and saved me a ton of money! It's not the sexiest car but I don't give af about that.

I drive the same round trip to work, about 62 miles. I have a 2005 Prius. Best car ever.
Does your Prius have a huge magnet in the back ? I think mine does, seeing how it pulls the jacked up rollin coal trucks right up to the back.

Thanks for the update. Some good information there. I've just watched your video on how far you could get out of a tank too. I'm looking to get a Prius next due to needing to save money. Really don't give a damn what people think. I've got a 3.5 V6 Mitsubishi Shogun (Montero) which only gets 16 UK mpg around town and around 22 on a highway. I'll use that in winter, but during the rest of the year I'll save a load of money running about in the Prius. Love hybrids, and when I can afford it I may go for the faster Lexus CT200, although that's a fair bit of a smaller car.
