Keep hating on them, so I can buy them for cheap.

fwd cars feel amazing on twisty forest roads. I think most of the hate they get is undeserved and comes from people not wanting to give them a chance.

Never sleep on a Honda with a suicidal driver he’s gonna send that shit like his names Ricky Bobby

On track, RWD and AWD come out on top, but if we're keeping it a buck fifty here... There is no better daily driver than a fun FWD car. They can be safely driven quick on public roads, are still capable in winter, and don't drain your wallet at the pump. Sprinkle a lil 5-door in this stew and ya got yourself the classic age-old hot hatch recipe. Fun, versatile, economical and practical.

A good setup FWD car will teach a lot of fast driving since you can’t just use power to go faster. Making you learn inertia conservation, trail braking, and coasting through corners

People who say "FWD cant hoon" have never hooned a FWD car. Especially FWD reverse donuts, they go hard.

Understeer is a driver error, like snap steer in mid engined cars.

I'm a fan of FWD. It's a bit more forgiving on back roads, plus learning how to set up and use lift off oversteer is pretty satisfying. Torque steer just adds a little drama to the experience.

Fwd is actually way more fun to drive when it’s smaller and lighter. My 97 geo prism even though it was only a 1.6 4 banger making like 60 horses it was a blast to drive on some back roads, dare I say more fun than the time I thrashed in a 5.0

Fwd is fun af, but rwd is the most versatile fun, and awd is the king of lap times so long as you can handle it😂. Thow I can't say too much my car is fwd. P.S Torque steer is part of the fun 😂

My '08 honda fit is a goddamn go-kart. The only problem it ever has is torque steering... with its 108hp

I’ve got a VW Scirocco Mk3 and it’s a great car. Its wide wheel base, low centre of gravity, and sporty suspension means it’s planted through corners. Weight transfer isn’t an issue. In fact I’ve probably oversteered with it more times than I’ve under steered. This only happens when really thrashing it in the wet, in the dry it literally hunkers down into the corners and won’t budge from its line at all. Only downside is it’s a little light on the front when accelerating and is gagging to wheel spin. But if you can master the launch just under the grip limit it’s a rocket ship that can give porches a run for their money

One of the biggest issues is weight transfer. When you floor your car, the force from the acceleration is gonna transfer weight away from the front wheels, leading to slower acceleration. There's a reason no sporty FWD cars have much more than 300HP, any more power and the front wheels just lose traction

I had a fwd Honda with all terrain tires and never slipped or got stuck in the winter

My goal is to have almost every drivetrain layout. I already have a RSX type S(FWD) SW20 MR-2(mid engine RWD), will be adding a MK3 Supra turbo to the collection soon(RWD) and lastly I really want a GR Corolla or a mint low mileage EVOX.

"THIS is why FWD get so much hate!"

1. People don't know how to drive them

you can use fwd understeer to your advantage if you can control the throttle by not using it while you're turning but keeping the momentum from entering the turn at somewhat of a higher speed than you normally would make the turn- been there done it ✅

FWD can easily be set up for oversteer and prevent understeer. Stiffer suspension = less mechanical grip. Stiffer rear springs, stiffer rear sway bar, staggered wheel setup (wider in front, skinnier in back). A properly set up FWD car will oversteer more than RWD. There are still things that FWD can't do, but it can be mitigated to an extent. And of course, FWD is usually smaller and/or lighter overall.
