I am Austrian and there are basically the same rules. I'm fine with nearly everything, but personally, I hate taking off my shoes when entering a house. I do it out of politeness, of course, if required, but my guests will never be asked to do so. My shoes are not dirty, I am not comng from a muddy field to visit someone, so I really don't understand😅
