I have a philosophy that anyone can learn anything, provided you know how their brain makes connections and finding the learning style that helps the information stick. Sean has a very informal, non-technical way of teaching (and i suspect, learning) that uses pattern associations in what I call "landmark learning". Because I cant tell you someones address to put into your GPS, but I can remember every landmark cue on a 7 hour drive. I wish my middle school guitar tutor had done things this way.

Really cool insight that the shapes can be thought of as "shells" of both minor and major chords in the key. Took me a moment to figure out why the diminished and the major chord shapes were the same (second interval in both is a minor third, but it takes an effort to recognize ((-; ).

Unfortunately, I watched the pickup replacement video with my phone speakers the other day. I just watched this video with my earbuds...Man, I really noticed right away how good those cunife pickups sound. They are so clean, I'm amazed, I wish they made them for a Strat.

Yes other set of strings. I’d mention and show when you say first or second positions as you say it. Here’s first short 2 string and it’s mother the full shape. That way the viewer can focus on your presentation concept without mind shifting. Multi task viewers abilities without telling them. You will increase clicks.

This was very helpful. Like another piece of the puzzle that connects two bigger shapes (ideas). I think I just need to start repeating chords in my head... and sudden;y another tip I learned last week comes in handy: GBDFACE.
