I’ve dealt with this in family with my covert narcissist grandmother. I just stop, turn around, and walk the other way. And she loses it.

Thank you Danielle for bringing up another interesting aspect of narcissistic behavior/ relationship.
My female covert Narc actually doesn’t walk in front of me but walks behind me! 😅
Naturally, I wanted my loved ones walking side by side with me, with my respect, dignity, civility that I have towards them.
With my Narc, it’s weirdly different! She never walks in line with me. When I slow down to wait for her, she also slows down to keep the distance!
Why is that?
- the narc know that anything that makes you happy, they will withhold that
- they think competitively towards you, they again holds no respect to you.
- victimization: they plays this game to imply “ you are not treating me well, you’re ignoring me, you don’t care for me, blah, blah, blah….” ( she creates the issue then blames the victim for it)
- it’s a part of narcissistic emotional abuse. Narcs are always mean, abusive and cruel!

Oh yeah. She'd get out of the truck and like power walk to the store. I brought it up several times. I started just casually getting out, getting my wallet, getting my phone, walk to the store at my pace....

Oops! I used to walk straight to the door when coming out of the car as soon as he parked the car in a parking lot. My ex, who is a narcissist, accused me of doing it for the reasons you mentioned in this video. I was just exited to arrive at destination after sitting in the car and arriving to the mall or where ever we were heading. I have ADHD by the way. I did stopped and when I would instantly do it again, I would catch myself (most of the time), slow down or walk back. But once inside the door, I would walk by his side, except for a few times I saw something exciting.
I used to think he was saying that because he was insecure or annoyed. Now that I listen to this video, I think he was doing it because he was projecting.

They also like to walk behind you and tell people you put yourself in front of them as if you are the narcissist. Im just a fast waker.
