Guys just so you're aware, birds nest soup is a very expensive delicacy in Asia. It was probably the most expensive item on the menu, followed by Crab and Prawns.
The guy was probably just being polite when he asked her to order what she wanted and she then took that as a license to take the literal piss out of him, and order the most expensive items along with leftovers for her friends..
