I have always had PCOS, basically since I was 15 (first period 12.5yo, now 33). The only solution the doctors gave me was the birth control pill, that I took for many years in a row. One also suggested me a pregnacy to rebalance my hormones lol. Then I decided to take a break and coincidentally to a bad break up I decided to do IF and then keto. 90lbs down, tons of muscles, best shape of my entire life. Went from a XXL to a M-L in the span of three years. It has been a long journey and I had a lot of bumps and plateau because I was also educating myself on my own and had to correct the things I was doing month by month. It was frustrating. I was alone for a long time, then I found out Dr. Berry and Dr. Berg. Best doctors of my entire life and they don't even know I exist and that they have saved me.

I have had PCOS since my teen years, almost 30 years ago. I didn’t get diagnosed until 27, when I was at my heaviest weight 305lbs. At that time I was mostly Vegetarian. My doctors thought I was lying when I said I am gaining weight eating salads. It was infuriating. I got put on birth control and Glucophage. It sort of helped. At least I wasn’t on my period for 3 months in a row. Now that I am Carnivore. I realize all that stuff was hurting my body. I’ve been Keto for 3 years and Carnivore for at least 1 year. My body needs large amounts of fatty meat to work correctly. If you have PCOS, drop all sugar and carbs y’all. It is slowly killing you. Dr Berry is one of the first person to open my eyes to true health and insulin resistance. God Bless you and your family Dr Berry. I’m always recommending people to watch your YOUTUBE.
Edit: sorry for the rant! I just love you guys and am so blessed to have found this channel!

This man is a genius! I was diagnosed with PCOS, had multiple expensive, painful procedures, including IVF, which, over the course of 14 years, were unsuccessful. I did get pregnant 3 times, but miscarried by 9 weeks. I ended up going to a weight loss center, dedicated to Keto-style as well as low calorie, lost 40 lbs, many symptoms of PCOS decreased dramatically, AND, I conceived my son naturally! I am still at a lose as to why my reproductive endocrinologist never gave this advice 🤷‍♀️ but IT WORKS!! Thank you Dr Berry, for all of your insight, and especially for covering this issue!! ❤️❤️❤️

I’m 41 and was diagnosed with PCOS when I was 21. I was put on the pill and told to lose weight. I was on weight watchers and slimming world diets for 14 years and was never successful at improving anything and my insulin resistance was getting worse and worse. At the age of 35 I tried Keto. 6 years later I’m still following a Keto and carvivore diet (I alternate days) and my periods are regular as clockwork, I have lost weight, I am no longer insulin resistant, my skin is better, my mood is better and I feel like I have no PCOS symptoms at all any more 👍🏻

thank you for confirming I've been following this type of eating for the past 1.5 weeks already down 5lbs and despite my husband telling me I can't do cold turkey because I do struggle from carb withdraws but I do not have headaches anymore and have a lot more energy! Don't give up ladies put your health first. God bless you all

15 years until I got diagnosed. You’re right. Women’s health care is still totally bogus.

I'm in the UK and I was diagnosed with PCOS at 16 and I'm now 35 and never been offered treatment. Pre keto it took me 3 years to get pregnant, after a year of being keto I tried for a second child and got pregnant within 2 weeks of trying!

You have no idea how truly validating this video is. All my life i felt so lost and frustrated for answers and wishing I could be functioning like everyone else, and when you experience doctors throwing birth control at you like candy without any reassurance just so they can dismiss you as fast as possible for next patient in line... it hurts you as a person, you feel broken forever. Even the doctors that do recognize your pcos, they always paint it out as something that will always be apart of us and that there's no hope out there, and that you'll just have to deal with it. Again, thank you for this video.

I was diagnosed with PCOS at 15 and this is probably the most common sense approach I’ve heard from any doctor over the past 19 years. Thank you Dr. Ken!

Symptoms of PCOS:
- Irregular/Absent periods
- Acne
- Excessive hair growth/loss in certain places
- Skin discoloration
- Stress, Depression...

Medical professionals often treat your symptoms for PCOS, not the root cause -) HYPERINSULINEMIA

What happens when hyperinsulinemic:
1. You eat a high carb meal (Sugars, starches)
2. Most of the carb gets stored in fat cells where they turn into fat
3. Because of high amount of carbs the fat cell starts to overfill
4. Fat cell is full and doesn't want any more sugar, sends a signal to release more insulin which 'blocks' sugar into getting into the fat cell
(The fat cells may also burst)
5. You have high sugar levels and your cells slowly become more insulin resistant -) diabetic

Ovaries and adrenal glands can't become IR - insulin sensitive while you're hyperinsulinimic

How to reverse PCOS/Insulin resistance
• Low carbohydrate diet - avoid starches, grains, sugar -) especially refined and ultra processed foods
• Avoid plant based diets - high in fructose
• Intermittent fasting and less meals a day, preferably 1-3 with no snacks between
• Exercising, mainly resistance training + HIIT
• Apple cider vinegar when on a low carb diet - brings down sugar levels
(Doesn't do harm nor good when you're on a high-carb diet though)

I have never been diagnosed with PCOS. But I have dealt with Acne. I have multiple cyst on both ovaries. Solution is always birth control or just have them taken out. I have never had peace about doing that and always knew there was a root to my issue. It starts with me taking accountability for my eating habits and ways. This gave me so much hope that my pain can be reversed!! Thank you!! 🙏🏽🙏🏽

I’m so sad about this. I was forced on WW since I was in 3rd grade. I was only maybe 10 pounds overweight. Why did my parents do that? I gained and gained. Finally got married, but couldn’t have babies. This pcos got worse & worse. Tonight is graduation and if we’d had kids they’d be graduating. Now my husband is dead and I’m 200 pounds overweight with no children. Please pray for me to be happy and lose weight. I finally had a hysterectomy and mourned again.

This has been PROVEN AND TESTED TO REVERSED MY PCOS. Been a pcos fighter since more than 10 years now and only doing my kind of way of eating helps me a lot that my doctor got surprised. Depression, missed period for many month and being obesed those were my symptoms, it was really hard but if you really want to fight for it, yes there is still hope WITH PCOS. WE CAN ALL DO IT ☺💓💚💓💚thank you Doc Berry for this video💙💓💚💙💓💚

My doctor told me that PCOS could not be reversed. I was diagnosed when I was 28 years old. Every doctor that I saw prior to that diagnosis said (about my symptoms), many women experience that. Ugh. 34 years later...my latest doctor said menopause does not change PCOS, and that I will always have it. I reversed T2 diabetes with lifestyle changes (keto). No more high blood pressure either. Now, Dr. Berry reports that PCOS is reversible! I wish our doctors were all on the same bandwagon.
