Dr O'Donovan explains 3 SKIN SIGNS associated with Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS).

Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is a common condition that affects how a woman's ovaries work.

The 3 main features of PCOS are:

1. irregular periods – which means your ovaries do not regularly release eggs (ovulation)
2. excess androgen – high levels of "male" hormones in your body, which may cause physical signs such as excess facial or body hair
3. polycystic ovaries – your ovaries become enlarged and contain many fluid-filled sacs (follicles) that surround the eggs.

If you have at least 2 of these features, you may be diagnosed with PCOS.

I have not been officially diagnosed with PCOS however, i have the jawline acne and little hairs on the chin symptoms. My OBGYN did a pelvic ultrasound where they found a dermoid cyst. I'm scheduled for removal surgery in 3 weeks. Im praying my symtoms subside thereafter. Great video by the way. Right to the point🎉

Hello doctor, I have bilateral pcos, and I have minimal hair growth in perticular areas, I have very long bleeding cycles, nonstop minimal or major bleeding for months is not easy to deal with, and 3 years ago, I had my thyroidectomy... Currently am not taking any medication for pcos bcs, the doctors gave me birth control pills, and I took it for 5 months without knowing, am not sexually active, but want to conceive as soon as possible... Am over weight now, but after thyroidectomy I feel very tired and I have muscle pain and back pain also, my breast size increased very badly, it all makes exercising hard.. These big changes in my body within three years is really not something that makes me happy, in my case... What do you recommend... I don't have any other medical problems.. Expecting your response

I have not been diagnosed, but my mother has PCOS. She’s actually been scraped out a long time ago bc of the pain in the cysts. After I had my first daughter at 28. ( I did have 3 miscarriages before her one was really sad bc i was 4 1/2 months) but it wasn’t until after I had my daughter that I started growing the hair on my chin I was floored. My mom thinks it’s hilarious. I have not been diagnosed yet but I have a doctors appointment set to do so cause I’ve been bleeding for six weeks and I need some goddamn help.

Well, feeling how it began to shrink and eventually disappear within 2 months was so liberating. I followed the steps I mentioned, and within the first 2 weeks the bloating was gone. I simply go'ogled Tilly Strankten's Ovarian Cyst Guide and it's like I hit the feel-good reset button lol.
