Oh god, she should do a survey on CA female aspirants. That's our life till we join Articleship. PCOS was detected in me while I was in 1st year. Today, when I have graduated, I still have PCOS.

PCOS is that disease that comes from variety of factors but, key is finding one’s balance in day to day to life. Easier said than done to be honest.

All whatever Netflix, Instagram was not there in 90s. Still I got PCOS just from the time I had my first ever period. Gynaecologist asked me to wait a year to conduct the ultrasound and rest if the lab testing. It was confirmed that I have PCOS. Imagine all this when I was just in 8 th standard. I was physically fit, eating mostly home cooked meals and also enjoying dancing and athletics in school. Here I am 20 years down the road, still having the same. Doctors only recommended birth control pills to me when I was that young. All it did was putting weight around my mid section and buttocks. People make fun of my irregular body shape. I live with it and still strive very hard each day to just keep me going. I wish my gynaecologist had suggested weight training that time and never put me on birth control pills 😢.

My wife has/had PCOD/S and we reversed it with heavy weight training (except on the 5 days of the menstrual cycle). RDL, Deadlifts, Squats with progressive overload brought the cycle from 70-90 days to 33 days. Starting with Yoga bought down the cycle to 45 days and weight training accelerated the progress after the birth of our first daughter. Diet was always on the side of home cooked meals. Medication was prescribed but the doctor had mentioned to stop it after 35 years of age (probably due to the side effects in later life). We ditched medications after 1 month. So this is the story of our experience of working around it for 12+ years. If you think about it all the above exercises massage the internal reproductive organs and allow better circulation.

I disagree..I am 30 now . I was an active kid in school, cycled around 5 km everyday, no junk food in our surroundings. No pocket money to buy unhealthy items, no mobile, no social media, had good sleep, wake up early morning, no pressure to get good marks, good diet(lots of veggies and non veg), not obese, no history of PCOS in family.. after all this still I got PCOS .. identified when I was in 1st yr college.

Lifestyle does have a huge impact on our body. I too had this but I corrected my diet and did a lot of exercises - a whole range (you should sweat it out) which helped me get over this.
