I thought it said, “I grew my own beard from scratch” until I read it twice 👀😂

I'm a farmer's child. I don't live on a farm anymore and haven't for over 2 decades. This gave me heart-wrenching nostalgia!

After growing up poor and having nothing I can finally say that at 28 years old my family is doing well - we have all supported each other enough to be able to have homes. This is my last year renting and next May I move into my home where I plan to have a huge garden. I have only been able to do small container gardens thus far and I am so excited. I appreciate the info you give in your videos - they’re very helpful to people especially those that work a lot and have less time for research.

This really shows how hard it is to make bread! Respect the farmers!

Great video… I bought my cat some wheat grass seeds that once it sprouted she wasn’t interested at all. I tossed the rest of the seeds in my raised bed and I ended up with a field of wheat, ok, a couple of square feet of wheat. I harvested it and ended up with a little over a pint jar full of wheat. That is as far as I got. Glad to hear that grinding and baking with it is the next step. Thanks for sharing!

Ah this slightly takes me back to when my dad still worked at a culinary college and he would take me there sometimes, on some days he would take wheat seeds and grind them to make flour for the students ❤

Not sure if it would work for wheat, but for rice, you just get a board and a tarp, prop the board up at an angle over the tarp, then that a handfull if grass and smack it on the board. The grains fly into the tarp. It's super fun. There's a lot less to filter out than crushing it in a bag. An easier way to filter it is to dorp the grain-grass mix in front of a fan and the grains will fall, but the grass blows away. I lived in a Black Hmong Village in a tiny hut in a rice feild in yhe indochina mountain range for 10 months, so I learned a lot about rice.

You're going to make me cry with how good that looks. I actually wanted to be there for a minute.

I always wanted to just grow random patches of wheat in the nearby fields just for the little field mice but this is also an awesome use for it.
