I’m 37. Black players and people have been complaining about black coaches being hired since I can remember. When will cats sacrifice & do what it takes to start their own league versus continuing to complain & have these circular conversations that go no where surrounding the Caucasian owners deciding to hire who they choose to hire to coach their teams?

Thibs was hired because he has the credentials of a winner and relationship with Leon Rose. The New York Knicks have a history of empowering black execs and coaches. Cut the foolery.

David West was sought after by Knicks after his Pacers run but decided he rather “contend” with the Spurs. So he can speak on teams he actually worked for.

The Knicks made the best hire available. Every other coach whether black or white weren’t as qualified.

No matter what the Knicks do they will be scrutinized.

We all know how this is going to end Tom Thibodeau is going to spend maybe a year or two with the Knicks and he’s going to get fired and they’re just gonna bring in another coach it’s the cycle that continues to go on with the Knicks

Sports leagues continuing to make the same mistake of hiring coordinators as head coaches. A lot of the bottom and mid-tier teams could be much better if some of these assistant coaches or coordinators who have helped win championships, pair with some of the average coaches or organizations.

I agree that Mark Jackson deserves another NBA coaching job. Was completely unfair that he was pushed out after basically building and developing a championship team in GS. Tibs is not the worst hire considering some of the other candidates.
