NOBODY could shut up for even ONE minute so we could hear it?

Had the pleasure of knowing and playing with Bob for around 15 yrs. He passed at 88 October of 2022.
I miss him everyday. I miss playing and all the long phone calls. He was a very interesting man. It was a joy to know Bob!! He never acted his age and was a blast to play the music he wrote and loved!! Bob Wood was a very special man!! A tresure to those who knew and loved him!!

You know what would have been great? Being able to hear him play.

As a 62-year-old beginner, I am inspired by this. Thanks for sharing!

What makes this even more special is that he's a real sweetheart of a guy...

My 83-year-old father still stays at my little farm for 3 to 4 weeks every summer, helping with repairs and building new things. He really enjoys it, not only because it is something else than sitting at home at the computer screen, but also because he can once again use and show off all the skills he aquired in his first work as a ship builder over half a century ago.
We started this tradition 23 years ago when I just bought the farm and we repaired the old barn, just the two of us, putting up 15 foot poles with the help of only some rope and two car jacks.
Also a great way to spend time together and listen to the stories from his youth.
Hope he'll be around for many more years.

Listen to old people. They have the knowledge and the wisdom that so many lack in today's world.

Sure & then all you did was blab, drowning out what he played, priceless. You didn't even give the courtesy of the link on the segments completion. Priceless.

RIP Sir, we are still listening and loving it.

I've seen 80-year-olds who can play, but to play that fast and smooth is something else! It proves that joint and nerve problems are not inevitable as we age. We can keep doing what we love!

So great that the lady wouldn't shut up for three dang seconds to let us actually HEAR WHAT THE WHOLE NEWS STORY WAS ABOUT.

Well it would have been nice to, you know, hear him play instead of all the commentary.

I had the pleasure of meeting this wonderful man when lived in Nashville as a pre-teen/teen. He would often play at the the Blue Plate Special on Music Row (long since gone). He was the nicest person I ever met.
