My Selkirk Rex is affectionate in the early mornings and nights but I’d describe her as hyper adventurous and not laid back! She always wants to explore, be outside and play. I definitely agree she is smart, I have to change the toys weekly to keep her entertained.

I was waiting for them to say something earth shattering as far as having a Sel Kirk Rex, we have a cat who is part Maine Coone, so he is large with lots of hair, he is smart and very curious so we have lost plenty of plants, dishes and other things because he likes to investigate and knock things over, he too is not the most active cat so he spends much time sleeping, he is extremely affectionate and very clingy, so it sounds like he has a lot in common with the Sel Kirk Rex😂

One other trait! They're often very gymnastic when playing. One of my Selkirk Rex boys does the most fantastic aerial flips. He should have been in the circus.

This video is very true to life. Selkirk Rex are known as 'puppy cats' because they're so dog-like. One of my cats has to be by my side all the time, with his nose in whatever's going on. They are the smartest cats I've known and have learned to recognise a handful of words. They're a lot of work - they need variety in playtime, long games and don't like being alone for long. But so rewarding <3
