What Happened to Danny Masterson and the Cast of That '70s Show?

Hanging out down the street, you could find the cast of THAT '70S SHOW, Fox's go-to sitcom from 1998-2006. Lasting eight seasons and an even 200 episodes, THAT '70S SHOW had an ensemble that found a charismatic group of characters in the Wisconsin burbs and making the most out of that basement.

Yet, as lighthearted as the show was, some very dark business was going on behind the scenes, as co-star Danny Masterson's rape trial and conviction proved. In this episode, we dig into what's happened to the close-knit cast, many of whom came under fire for their support of Masterson throughout his trial and after his conviction, with this a tale of Scientology, wealth, power, and abuse. That said, it's not all dark, with co-stars like Topher Grace and Laura Prepon going on to long-running careers, and, despite everything, Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher have had one of the better Hollywood marriages. Yet, one can't deny the Masterson case and the icky support from many of the cast members have cast a shadow over the show's legacy, as well as Netflix's ill-timed sequel series, That '90s Show.

What do you think of the show's legacy now? Let us know in the comments!

Topher grace got a bad rap because he didn’t hang out with the cast.
He didn’t do that for either
1. Like myself, he liked his coworker but they are HIS COWORKERS!!! Once the work is done. He goes home.
Or
2. He knew the others were doing scummy things and didn’t want to be associated with them.

It's so strange that when that '70s Show came out it was closer to its era than we are to the show now.

The spinoff is alright, though it might have been more compelling had it been about the original characters raising their kids, than about the new generation themselves.

The way Conan said "I've heard about you" was so sincere, he didn't look him in the eye. Hollywood circles knew that Danny was doing some awful stuff to girls and women and looking the other way. And now the victims airing out Ashton possibly grooming mila om the show, and that she married a groomer doesn't bode well.

Topher Grace was in Predators and I remember being fascinated by him, was he good? was he evil? was he a traitor? You couldn't tell, it was great

It's amazing how evergreen Topher Grace seems now compared with Danny Masterson and the rest of the cast that have abetted him.

Thank you for pointing out that the spin off was terrible! As a kid who was a teenager in the 90's, there is NOTHING recognizable!!! I stopped trying to watch it when the main character kept trying to sexually assault every boy at the mall

I rarely find American sitcoms laugh out loud funny & That 70's Show is no exception but it's one of those special shows that's a great comfort sitcom you can just close your eyes & nod off to.

Such a damn shame that Hyde got into all that trouble. No way they can ever broadcast this show anymore. It's surprising Valderrama hasn't been arrested.

Kurtwood Smith and Don Stark portrayed relatively good guys compared to their roles in the 80s.

Smith was Boddicker in RoboCop, and this evil character speaks for itself.

Lesser known or remembered, Stark was Bubba Caldwell in EvilSpeak, where he's a bully who murders an innocent puppy.

Look, im conflicted at the whole Mila and Ashton thing too.. If it came out that my best friend for over 20 years was a terrible person, at first I'd defended them too. You don't want to believe someone you love and spent so much time with, was a monster. Cos that could low-key say something about yourself. I think distancing themselves from him was the best option.

I believe Topher Grace didn't become a superstar like a few of the others because he didn't sell his soul and become occultist like Ashton and Mila 😅

What do you mean, “Vengeance” isn’t worth mentioning? That movie was one of the most underrated of last year. Also, “That 90s Show” was not THAT bad!

In Good Company was great! Topher Grace's filmography is pretty dope compared to the rest of the cast. His role in Predators was very understated.
