Danny Masterson's Wife Files for Divorce

Danny Masterson's wife, Bijou Phillips, has filed for divorce in the wake of his prison sentencing. In a statement to ET, Bijou's attorney says, 'This period has been unimaginably hard on the marriage and the family. Mr. Masterson was always present for Ms. Phillips during her most difficult times of her life. Ms. Phillips acknowledges that Mr. Masterson is a wonderful father to their daughter.' The filing comes less than two weeks after the actor was sentenced to 30 years to life in prison. In May, Masterson was found guilty of two counts of forcible rape. Danny and Bijou share a 9-year-old daughter, Fianna Francis.

The fact she didn’t stand up for her sister who was the victim of incest, then stood up for her husband Who was a violent rapist and she knew it before she married him is very sad. The fact that she participated in the Scientology Cult that RUINED Danny’s life irreparably is sad. The fact that she’s divorcing him is the only thing that has made any sense.

Well duh. I do think it’s questionable that such a heavy sentence was carried out based solely on testimonial evidence. Then again I do think he’s 100% guilty and I believe their testimony so it worked in this case. However it does set a pretty wild precedent, that someone can go to prison potentially for life without any physical evidence being submitted and only victim testimony. The defendant isn’t always guilty so setting that precedent may be problematic in future similar cases.
