This is another way I’ve seen people do it, so like ask your parents “if I get all As in my report card, will you buy me a phone?” just bribe them with grades and it might just work!

If your reading this comment remember to be thankful that your parents are letting you have internet access, my mom didn't let me have ANY access to the internet until I was in 9th grade! (also I can't get a phone until I'm 18)

I'm just gonna write persuasive essay. (: Also, some reasons why I want a phone:
Our home phone is out-of-order
I have no device that's MINE except a chromebook for school
Middle school (friends, clubs=late pickup, etc)
And I want to take pictures of my cat.
Edit: The phone I'm looking at is under $200 and I'm going to pay for a portion of it, I hope my plan works

Guys any tips for me?
My mum doesn't care that much about the expenses, she cares more about the fact that she thinks she is going to "lose me" because she thinks I will be on my phone 24/7...

how do I convince her? Like literally all my friends have one, and I am the 1% of the whole GRADE that doesn't have one :(

Like everybody is making group chats and tiktok and stuff- And I am always left out. I even offered to pay my $150 I have been saving for YEARS to help them buy it. Still denied... :(((

I started to want a phone when I was 11. Everyone!!! Had a phone even 3rd graders!!! So I started asking my parents for a phone and they would say stuff like"when ur older" but I was persistent!! And I also told them many good reasons to have a phone. Like safety, communication, etc. And then for my 12th bd I finally had a phone!! I started crying!! So guys just be persistent and prove that you can be responsible!!! And take good care of your first phone! I've had my phone for almost 2 years now!

This trick isn't for everyone but if you parents have a phone that none of them uses maybe ask if there is a way to earn the phone and if you have an electronic like a tablet already if you have a sibling give your tablet or whatever you have and ask your parents if you could give it to them! Like I said this method isn't for everyone but it is still something you can try! I'm not sure if this works because I'm planning on doing it and if it does work I will give an update :)

The reason I want a phone is 1st all my friends have one and I’m already 12 years old 2nd when we go out and my friends are on their phone I feel left out 3rd my parents say I’m not responsible enough when I was in grade 5 they said they will get me it in grade 8 now in grade 8 they just say when your a little older I will get it for you and I doubt I will get a phone by grade 10

Another tip is (if it works) try to atleast have a little more than half of what’s needed! Ask to do chores, and other stuff that will earn u money, and if u half more than half, maybe your parents will pay for the rest!
