Thank you for attempting to educate on the relative risks!

Honestly the more risky part of gel nail stuff is the risk of becoming allergic. People aren't very careful when doing it at home and often get it on the skin.

I "love" when people pose with stethoscopes and lab coats and lab equipment to appear more knowledgeable than they are...

Thank you! Could you do a video breaking down the risk for dip?

Thank you for making a short too!! I haven’t had the brainpower to get anything more information dense.

This isn't related to this post at all, but I was wondering what your thoughts are on "UV blocking window film" that claims to block "99% of UVA and UVB rays"? This would be great for someone like me who works from home IF it's true, but I'm very skeptical about the "UVA" portion of that claim

Could you please do a video about the risk of chemicals in nail polish like formaldehyde (which I noticed is also in eyelash glue). How dangerous are these if they are absorbed into the body (if at all)?

I am really glad for your long form video because I used to think like what if?, how can this be good for me? Especially when it burns but I appreciate your video so much that the risk is super low

Tbh this study isn't even Nature Communications quality 😂

I will be avoiding uv lamps since I’m on immunosuppressants (and also have nail issues from a medical condition anyway) but for most people it would probably be fine. I wonder if it would age hands more over time for people with pale skin in colder climates but probably no worse than a couple of holidays per year. Plus it’s hard to keep sunscreen on hands with washing them more often.

Do you have more details on what makes dip a riskier mani option? I've used both so am curious on what to look out for with dip.

Difference between nature and nature communication is not about “quality”, it is about importance of the works and impact on the field.
It is a very different thing.

Thanks for another informative video. 😊

“weirdly enough, that nature communication study didn’t actually cite any of [the studies that gave the risk context]”

Who among us could possibly discern why they would choose not to cite these studies??? 🌀🤔🔮 It will forever be a mystery of our times.
