Would You Buy A Manual Tire Changer?

We like to kill all tires drifting, so we picked up the Harbor Freight Manual Tire Changer and it ROCKS. Its actually pretty easy to use and helps us change out our killed tires in little to no time. Definitely saves on dismount/mount cost/money at your local tire shop.

It work well on steel wheels, on aluminum you would have to be more careful, like using plastic spacer to protect the rim from scratches .

I call BS without f'ing up the rim or pretzeling the bead breaker, but I did the mod that's on yt, bought a proper rim duck and centering ring ( had to make a center ring for my Tacoma rims) and put 255/80-17 on new aluminum rims without a scratch.

Take the tire off is so easy you only need a screwdriver and a hammer, the difficult part is to put the tire on, that machine helps a lot.

Used my manual changer for the first time.
Breaking the bead worked better than expected. Same with taking the tire off.
Putting the new tire on you dont really need the machine

I have harbor freight tire changer. Work but its tough at times.

That bar scratches the piss out of the rims. And some tires it works but smaller tires it doesn't.

I bought my 3 yrs ago when it went on sale for like 45 bucks and have only used it twice 😂 now there like 65 which blows my mind

Mounted one to my shop floor. Excellent add. More you use, easier it becomes. Also get the Duckbill mod. You'd wish you had more tires to change.

I have one but i have done the mods to make it easier ( still requures effort especially on old tyres and wide tyres)

I just did 4 265/70/16 mud terrains 6ply in a hr and a half with one
