That's really cool, didn't realise Bale was saying Ken Mile's actual quotes during that scene! I especially liked how Ken told his son not just about how difficult and special it is to set the perfect lap, but also that he used different braking markers in order to not stress the car too much across a 24 hour race; it's a very old-school philosophy of mechanical sympathy that you don't hear too often in racing these days, let alone racing movies. I think Fangio once said something similar: "A car is like a human being; it will behave well or badly depending on how you treat it."
