I have always wanted an AC cobra, when I was a child my stepfather told me the story in the early 60s the we’re testing the cobras on the brand new M 1 motorway they clocked 186mph no speed limits then, questions were raised in parliament and later the 70 mph speed limit was brought in, car enthusiasts were dismayed at this new rule

Great movie, filmed a scene at my workplace, and the movie crew were real pros dressing the sets & locations, & by coincidence I had worked in Whittier during the last year of Carroll's Dodge programs.(DakotaV8) any color you like as long as it was Red or White..
They really tried to capture the essence of the 60's in the movie, they did!, in my opinion, as well as the excitement of motosports.

Hope this movie motivates the new generation of motorsport enthusiasts. If enough funding is there, Shelby can go for hypercar project and enter LeMans hypercar series. Ferrari already won the GT AM and GT PRO series for 2021 LeMans after a very long time, they will race a hypercar probably 2023. The project is ongoing.

The movie should have been called "Laman's" the Ken Miles story... BECAUSE the movie focused on the battle between Shelby and Ken beating Ford really. The acting was great and they had a great story but editing is gone these days...

Carroll the alluminum custom built 427 only had 485 dan gurney said they were at 3000 pounds an a 5 speed gear box thats stiill a lot of horse power...aerodynamic was the big key....but reliability is what one the race....a solid tested ford race block...

Good movie but Matt Damon just called it an ‘underdog’ story -
when you’ve got the might and unlimited budget of Ford behind you then you’re not the underdog.
