'Ford v Ferrari' Stars Christian Bale & Matt Damon on Shooting Intense Racing Scenes

Christian Bale and Matt Damon, stars of the upcoming movie "Ford v Ferrari," revealed how they filmed the epic racing sequences. The actors said they used replicas of classic racecars to film, and director James Mangold said he shot the scenes to make the audience feel like they're in the driver's seat.

I own a Porsche 911 Turbo but am an old Ford guy and can't wait for this movie...for those that don't know, Bale plays Ken Miles who was Shelby's top driver who Shelby insisted be on the GT40 team when he signed on to take over the GT40 program (Holman and Moody also ran a parallel team with Ford factory backing). Not only was Ken a fantastic driver but Shelby also credited him with "inventing" the parts and process that enabled them to change the GT40 brake rotors in a 30 second pit stop. Shelby said without that the heavier GT40 which went thru 7 sets of rotors during a Le Mans 24 hour race would have never beat the Ferrari's or Porsches.
