Hi Lee, I’m looking to run my first marathon in February. I want to aim high. I was wondering what interval sessions I should be running? Longer intervals such as KMs or just 90 seconds of very high speed?

Sub 3:30 would be amazing.

Also, would you advise adding a weighted vest to training?

I have 7 weeks left before a marathon. Long runs at goal paces are going well, but the last 3 weeks of interval sessions have exposed weak tendons, hips, quads, hamstring, etc. so i needed to shut all 3 down in the first few sets. Wondering if there is an alternate weekly set up that doesnt give as much interval super compensation, but still provides some benefits while not further aggravating my legs at the edge of a high speed injury?
