9 weeks ago I decided to commit to the hardest physical challenge of my whole life - Running A Marathon. This goal was on my bucket list for so many years and finally I dedicated the time to actually do it. I bought all the necessary equipment and set up a training plan for a total of 29 runs and 409km which should hopefully prepare my body for running the marathon. I pushed my mental and physical capabilities to their absolute limits and gave my everything to achieve this goal. In this video you join me on this turbulent journey with all of its highs and lows along the way.

Your limitations only exist in your mind.
If you want it, dedicate yourself, put in the time and work towards that goal. Trust me, you can make anything happen! 🏆

Let me know how you liked this longer documentary style video! 🙌

My Mom ran a marathon when I was a kid, and she woke up early every morning and went to run. She was busy being a mother and a night shift nurse, but she kept on going. I was talking to her recently, and she remembered seeing a quote that went something like, “A marathon isn’t 26.2miles/42km. It’s the last 26.2 miles/42km.” It was basically saying that all of the training you did was part of that marathon, it isn’t just the race, but the training too.

This guy is on a different level. Not only did he finish a marathon, he did it with style with his crazy story telling and editing. Awesome job, time to run a marathon too! Hahaha

If there is anything I learn from your videos as a content creator it is that story and visually SHOWING that story is INSANELY powerful. So good.

This is one of the first Marathon videos I watched during pandemic and this inspires me to run my first Marathon last year.

Now, I am running my third Marathon… in Chicago this October.

This nearly brought me to tears. Well done, man. I ran my first marathon 10 years ago and I dedicated it to my late mother. This year I intend to run that same marathon once more. I lost my brother in 2017 and your beautiful video has inspired me to dedicate this race to him. Cheers from México!

when I was young, around 12 years old, I used to join my school running which was 2.5- 3km only
then I decided to challenged myself to join the 6.5 km run when I was 13 years old, my dad trained me for 3 weeks for my little me to do that challenged
tbh, I did wanted to just lay down on my bed and read my comics, but my dad forced me to train ( I was in ok condition, no injury, no nothing)
when the day arrived, I ran 6.5km with my dad
for me it was exhausting, but after I finished the race, without knowing it, I was in 5th placed with around 40 minutes
I was surprised that I finished the race in 5th place. I thought I would be like the 20th place or so
I felt so proud of myself back then, but since I had an accident when I was 15 years old, I can't run anymore
after my surgery, I can walk again like normal people, but when I run it hurt so much that I can't feel my legs
well technically I can run, but only in a shot period of time
since then, I can only watch people run, swim, etc without trying it myself
watching this video makes me miss the old days when I was young who would run around everytime I can

I accidentally became a runner during Covid lockdown, turns out the best thing you can do it slowly add cardio to your daily life in small amounts, and RUN SLOWLY I mean really slowly. The only reason I’ve been able to run long distances is because I spent a winter worried about slipping on ice and going painfully slow. It made running easier, enjoyable, and I still experienced so much improvement. Best advice I can give is to make it fun and easy - you will surprise yourself

It’s ironic he took issue with the rain. But willingly jumped in the river. Well done. I’m almost 40, have been morbidly obese and overweight for half my life, and was always in constant pain. I’ve turned that around and recently lost 70 pounds and have my first ever 5k in 2 days. For someone that had almost literally never ran more than a mile in my whole life. This gave me some motivation. Well done sir.

The roller coaster of emotions that I experienced on this video is like I just watched an EPIC movie. I literally clapped for a long time when you reached the finish line. Fear has been severely dictating my life for the last 6 months, but because of this video, I am now so pumped and motivated to take action! What a gift! Thank you for your hard work Niklas. We're so proud of you.

This was so beautiful and incredibly powerful. I am so so proud of you!
About a month ago I watched a docu about Marathon De Sables. Personally, I have always hated running with a passion. I never ever understood why people would do that and enjoy it, just as you said. But MDS showed me how truly beautiful it is to accomplish a marathon. You are able to take back all of your power. I want to start training for my first marathon and while doing research I came upon this. It literally almost brought me to tears to see you go through all of these stages and come out on top. The fact that it rained WAS YOUR GOOD LUCK SIGN. I'm so proud of you and can't wait to show myself who I can be. Thank you for documenting this!

I've honestly started crying like two-three minutes before the end of the video... The last few phrases got me so emotional because I relate to what you said a lot about the limits and achieving one's dreams if you put in the effort and just keep going. And I feel like I've heard those words before but, at the same time, this was like the first time I was actually paying close attention. It's been a couple of weeks since I started watching one video of yours per day, like I will put them on the TV while I have dinner, just because I get so much inspiration from what you do and who you've come to be. Thank you so much, really. Your stories change people like me for the better.

P.s. greetings from Spain! 😊

Being a marathon runner too, I feel that this video, and especially the last 2 mins of monologue was just the perfect summary of what running a marathon is all about, and how it changes your life 🏃
