Easier way to level demolitions is to get a weapon with the explosive trait and you will level whatever weapon skill the base weapon is (pistol, rifle, shotgun, etc) AND also level your explosives. A good example of this is the drum beat rifle as it has a vanilla mod (no legendaries required) to make its ammo explosive which allows you to level both your rifle and explosive at the same time as you kill enemies normally.

Basically just put 1 point to each skill and you will level several skills at once.

Not here for exploits but to say that I intend to max before NG+1. First skills that I think a XenoBiologist would have, then skills I'd like her to have. I believe she's half bar to 96. Only 8 days and a few hours or so of play.

Particle beams will NOT work with the training simulator -- there's no particle beam weapons on the training ship.
