What I like the most about watching your videos, is the things you have given me to consider when I'm out shooting landscapes both wide angle and telephoto. I now consider the small parts of nature, and started finding and shooting more close ups. Thanks for the tips,

I’ve seen lots of stuff about composition, but it goes over the same basics, so it was great to see one talking about these different areas, which give you even more to think about when you can’t quite get what’s not working in a photo. Thank you for making this.

Loved the "trees are holding hands" part! Great video, as always. Thanks!

Nigel,

I think having vids dedicated to each "soft (and wet) ware", and mid-week "hardware" subjects sounds a treat.

Thank-You,
Mike

Years ago I had some tennis lessons (alas, it all came to nought) and discovered that there are about 26 things you have to think about as you're shaping up to serve - where your feet are, whether to bend your knees, which end of the racket to hold, etc.
After watching this video I'm feeling a bit the same. There's lots to consider when framing a shot but I must admit that every principle you mentioned does seem important. And that was very well illustrated by your good/not so good photos.
Excellent tutorial Nigel. Now I'm going to watch it a again and write them down with the aim of memorising them before my next jaunt.
Cheers from DownUnder.

Would love to hear about what you have learned about your work studio. What you like to have. How you prefer it arranged. What you have found great to store and protect gear when at home. Etc. thanks for your videos! They are encouraging and inspiring!

I like the idea of irregular mid week videos as long as they are shorter than the Sunday ones.
The issue i have with most tech type videos on YT is that they can become tedious if they are too long so short, quick fire informative ones would be great .
Your Sunday videos are superb as they cover the meat of landscape photography which i am much keener to spend more time viewing .

Discussion of what tools you use and work for you is a great idea. If I may suggest, avoid making them reviews; I don’t care what is “best, ” simply what “works” for you.

I’d love to hear more about your thoughts on drones. What do you use and what should I look for when purchasing a mid priced drone?

Looking forward to your new videos Nigel. I really like your “photography theory” as I call it. I watch more than once and take notes to take into the field. Thank you

The mid week videos are a great idea. I really look forward to those. I really learn a lot from you and I'm really grateful for the effort you put into all of this content that you put out.

Thank you. Often, videos on landscape composition are same same; this introduced some great ideas, and gave such good examples of things working/not working.

Very very helpful video, i'm going to make a little cheat sheet of those 7 tips and put it in my camera bag ;)
Negative space and separation are so easy to forget in the field, thanks for raising awareness for those issues!
I'm really looking forward to your toolkit videos because I'm curious to learn about routines etc. that make life easier for you. I remember your video about importing pictures into Lightroom that helped me reduce the "omg, where do i even start to edit" moment when I get home ;)

I’d really like to see some videos on your best advice trying to transition from a 9-5 job to a full time photographer/content creator. The business end of things for people looking to make a giant leap towards their ambitions.

I would like to know about bracketing: how often you use it, how you use it, and any other thoughts you have on combining exposures to expand dynamic range. Thank you! Also, thank you for another great video this week.
