I’m afraid of heights and when I went as a kid I was too scared to walk across that grated hole. The guide had just told me it’s about 1000 feet straight down! Crazy how this video proved that was a real memory.

Ummmmn that doesnt look like an intake structure or an over flow structure. It looks like a giant ventilation shaft which i wss the grate is for venting the stale air out of the damm. Its not an overflow cuase its to high up the hoover damm has its own over flow structure connected to the lake.
