An easy health ritual that I do most weeks, is a 24-hours fast.

I simply eat breakfast, lunch, and dinner on a Saturday, as normal and then fast until dinner on a Sunday.

I only skip 2 meals. I still get to eat every day, and for 7-8 hours of the fast, I'm sleeping anyway.

Doing this once per week helps with reduced calorie consumption, the breakdown of old cells (autophagy), improved insulin sensitivity, and increased growth hormone.

I do it every fortnight. First day, a fruit fast. Second, water. It feels so good. My kitchen, my stomach get a rest. My fridge gets a cleaning.

This is Orthodod christians religious strict rules, fasting 40 days, eating once a day after 5:00 pm, no dairy no meat no sweet, ❤❤❤ I love it

Fasting is great health benefits but fasting is in the Bible and it really great spiritual health as well the Bible reads some issues must be broken by fasting and prayer😊

I do this nearly every day for decades! Does not help much. I just do not eat unless hungry!

Thanks for reminding me of this. I remember trying this a couple times in my life. Felt really good to have an empty and cleared- out stomach.
I like how you simplified the whole thing by saying to eat ONE meal per week! From dinner to dinner.

I stick to a 16:8 rule. Fast for 16 hours, eat within an 8 hour window. If you always do that, you don’t have to work in a 24 hour fast, except for religious purposes.

I do OMAD every day.. It's amazing.. I got good results in loosing weight.. 23 hours water onlyfasting and 1 hour for eating

I'm two weeks into a similar experimental lifestyle : : 1. eat one large meal per day at end of day, , 2. go on a challenging trail run two miles nonstop 6 days per week, ,, , results I've noticed so far that I hope will be of benefit to you: more mental and physical *agility*, , and more mental and physical *strength* and the physical strength is TRANSLATING into rock solid BALANCE, , the eliminating of eating all day long is a beautiful simplification, , my fasting loving father says, , "think differently about the hunger feelings, work with them, feel them, and tell yourself yes this is good!"
