Garen's W has to be one of the strongest basic abilities in the entire game. With any other ability he would be completely trash!
We often (fairly) mention how overloaded new champ kits are-- Garen's W is the rare example of an ability from a prehistoric champ that is brimming with value. Not sure if it's always been this strong, but it completes his kit and allows him to build damage while still being incredibly durable.
