Hello, homeschool mamas! Let's talk about chores and how I create chores for homeschool kids.
Doing chores is not just about getting a checklist done, but it’s a bigger picture of training kids for being hard workers and building good habits

I’m a list maker too and several of my kids have picked up the same thing!

I am so excited to habit train but at the same time scared to make the commitment and fail! I am also not good in my discipline and habits but my boys are so good and often show me how they crave the discipline because they love to be neat and organized, even though ive never intentionally tried to teach them. :)

This is an area I struggle in currently so I appreciate the helpfulness 😂

It's amazing how much kids learn by mimicking! Because my older son is 2...we are very much not to the stage of independence, yet, but I "take him with me" as I go through all my household tasks throughout the day, and he's becoming quite the good little helper. He especially loves vacuuming (our vacuum is very light, and he can manage it easily) and he's improved a lot as vacuuming thoroughly since he first started trying it out.

My kiddos are 3.5, 2.5 and 1.5 so it’s mostly all me, all the time 😳 But my 3.5 & 2.5 year olds do empty the “kid dishes” from the dishwasher every morning. It’s usually a lot of arguing (between them) and me directing and redirecting, but it’s something....right....😫😫😫

I am also not a morning person. I try not to expect my daughter to do anything that I don’t do myself. We start our morning routine after breakfast and quiet time. We love a good laminated list...we both have one!
