Depending where you go, I would add visiting the travel clinic for shots. Also buying travel insurance.

One thing on travels of a month or less take some cheap nonprinted clothing that you wouldn’t mind losing or leaving behind. Sometimes it is cheaper and easier to buy some new clothes than to find and wait on laundry. You might even find some clothes or items you want to take home hence leaving some clothes behind.

Alina, my least favorite thing is packing or how to pack....and that is even when I am flying in my own country, USA. I just cannot figure how many change of clothes to pack or how many "wardrobes" to actually do better packing for a 7 day solo backpack trip. For some reason I pack like an astronaut to visit cities, only to find that there is a Walmart or something two blocks from my apartment. I just seem to think I need to be self-contained, as if my environment is not going to offer anything. I would like you to share how big a suitcase(s) you use and how many changes of clothes and whether (or how) you plan for both dressup and wilderness outings. Also I would like packing tips, like how you fit the most into a small space....things like rolling jeans, and how you pack top apparel. Anything you can provide on this topic would be great, even if it is more than one video. (Oh, by the way, I am a male, but a video on how women pack for solo travel will give me enough parallels.) Thank you so much in advance for anything you can offer.

You are very organized. I am impressed. For me the most important part is to ensure that someone has my itinerary. I even send whatsapp messages to friends once I am boarded. This way they can always call me to check if I am ok in case of a plane crash (god forbids :-). Airbnb is not my thing but I suggest if anyone stays at a stranger's house, even if it's airbnb, let a friend or family know. Hidden camera is another threat that one should be aware of. My dashing good looks and rugged handsomeness makes me to be watchful for these things :-)

I just traveled LAX- Warsaw - Odessa. I packed so much in my suitcase and carry- on, plus I brought my guitar in a hard shell case, that they charged me $135, but I got to bring on my guitar for free. After they checked in my carry- on, I asked for it to retrieve some essential items, but forgot the approx. $1900 cash I needed to pay my landlord in Odessa- I left it in that carry- on! When I arrived at my apartment there, I discovered there was only $700 remaining to pay for deposit and first month. I had to go to ATM, several, to withdraw hyrvinia, then exchange to $ to pay . I had not expected to have to check in the carry- on,

Hey beautiful, I had no idea a week in Vancouver was $1081, but then again, we both know that's an expensive city to live in, actually more expensive than Toronto, wow!!🇨🇦🙂🌷❤

I find a lot of people assume the plane ticket is too expensive to travel but that’s not really the case anymore. My last 4 month trip only cost $80!!! Of course booked way ahead & it helps having fam in detroit (much cheaper than flying out of canada) once I was there my sublet pretty much paid for everything. Trying to decide where to go this winter 🤔

Hey Alina! My friend and I are going on a trip to Kiev and had a question about how to get cell service/ Mobil data while we are there. I'm guessing most hotels will have WiFi but when we are out and about Google is my goto.

Thanks, 😊

With international traveling especially, always do everything with plenty of time. My first time traveling outside the United States 🇺🇲 (home) was to Italy 🇮🇹

On packing, cram all the crap you want to bring into your checked luggage. Weigh it, then start picking out all the expendable items until you make weight. That's how I packed my sons luggage when he returned overseas and wanted to bring back some comforts of home. Also, Rick Steves had a lot of good trip for packing light, an art most travelers have yet to learn. Alina, be safe out there and I hope we see you often on your channel.
