You forgot one more thing to expect. Though it may not happen until the very last season...or not at all...Lt Uhura's appearance, since (little known fact) she actually worked under Pike for a slight amount of time before Pike hands over the reins to Kirk. And though she and Spock were not a couple outside of the Kevin time-line, they were very close friend...even preforming together. In one episode "Charlie X" Season 1, Episode 2, Uhura sings while Spock plays the Vulcan lyre. And in "The Trouble with Tribbles" Season 2, Episode 15, she begs Spock to buy her one of the tribbles.

Through Mount, Peck, and Romijn, CBS has a chance to apologize what they've done with Startrek to date. Most of us are disappointed with the current shows.
In a bright tale of the future, we don't want the filth and gritty darkness of our modern world.
You can do better. Have enough guts to tell stories that stand on their own merit, without any need of frosting from the gutter. Give us something better than re-used dishwater. Please bring back heroes and explorers, and a show we can watch with our kids. Inspire us again. That is why Pike is so popular. He's an old fashioned hero. (he carries Picard in his blood) We want those stories. We can literally turn to a thousand channels to find tales of moral decadence and loose virtue, of tolerance that has no sane limit. Make something better, an adventure, a journey that inspires us without leaving a bad taste in our minds and hearts. Make Star Trek right this time.

The reasoning behind the Federation's death penalty to Talos IV is because, as the Talosians illustrated by their own fate, it would have a good chance of sealing doom for our species as well, given our innate tendencies toward addiction - for ANYTHING. If YOU had the power of illusion and telepathy like the Talosians had, wouldn't YOU use it as rapaciously? I think the original MENAGERIE Trek episode is one the best written pieces of science fiction anywhere. Its style was like an Outer Limits. The one time Roddenberry wrote something brilliant.

Really, the best course regarding Pike's ultimate fate is not adressing it at all during the whole of the new series. But of course we all know they'll be teasing it for the whole show and then it's going to be the whole series finale because that's the kind of obvious thing those writers gravitate to. They couldn't even help themselves in Discovery and had to turn an accidental event that was just a plot device in TOS into that whole "seal your fate" drama, because (they thought) that's the only thing the masses care about the Pike character.

Having had the opportunity to see CBS All Access' announcement that Star Trek: Strange New Worlds is green-lighted and the cast (from Discovery) are looking forward to reprising their roles. Lots of good stuff.

If we are getting a young Kirk, then we surely must get a young Finnegan too. Bruce Mars did such a good job of portraying him as Kirk's youthful tormentor that many regretted that we never saw more of him.

Jeffrey Combs, the man who managed to make an Andorian more than a blue skinned extra with worms on his head. Bring him to THIS series and allow him room to breathe (don’t make him a Borg or an Android, for Roddenberry’s sake, Combs is scary enough without prosthetics!) and I’ll pay CBS-AA their damn monthly toll. Otherwise, I’m sailing off to Hulu on the Orville come next year.

These are the missions of the USS Enterprise that will seek out STRANGE NEW WORLDS that no humans have seen before. I would hope to see the Enterprise encounter the other 11 constitution class ships along there missions and see the ships we saw in TOS like the USS Intrepid with the all Vulcan crew, the USS Defiant before it was lost, the USS Constellation Matt Decker's ship and the USS Exeter Ronald Tracey's ship. It would be great to have guest stars as Captains never seen and recasting of Tracey and Decker.

Jolene Blalock as T'Pol would have to be aged over 150 years at best and still look good for her age the producers and writers would see to that. And she would make an appearance in a two part episode of Strange New Worlds just like they did with Leonard Nimoy in TNG's "Unification". She will do very little and say alot about the old times on the NX and hopefully give more insight into the Romulan/ Earth war that created the Neutral Zone.

This needs to be a mostly stand-alone series. Keep the "revisits", "cameos", and "foreshadowing" to a minimum. This shouldn't just be a TOS prequel, or an Enterprise/TOS tie-in. A few things like that sprinkled in is ok, but it would be too easy to go overboard with it.

I’d love to see Captain Sisko appear on the show. I know he’s from the 24th century, but being with the profits from the wormhole he’s not living in normal time, so he could actually appear in any timeline he wanted. That wound amazing to me. Especially since he’s my favorite Captain if all of them.
