Hey everyone,

as some of you were really interested in my Rimowa and asked how happy I am with it, I made this short video to give you a brief overview. Also I thought it would be quite interesting how much damage the first flight did to the suitcase. I guess this is quite ok even if some of the scratches look very scary :D.

Mine is like 20 years old, it’s a rectangle, pretty much the largest you can get for and overhead bin I do the same thing with putting stickers on it. I’ve had it for so long and it has so much, “mileage” on it that the stickers have gotten wor worn out and I used a hairdryer to get them off. They have great warranty service. When my locks were out they sent me the new ones shown in this video.
The interior needs to be, “reupholstered“ it’s the blue with the white writing that kind of reminds me of the inside of a jet from the 70s, maybe Pan Am.

I had a 3 year old Rimowa Topas that did many many flights. I had a repair done 2 years ago and last month a weld failed so had to get a new case, under warranty, the Original L. I was sold a Rimowa based on there strength but trust me, they are not as strong as advertised.

When checking a bag, you're best off buying a soft side suitcase. The airline employees abuse the hell of luggage, and each hardside suitcase basically experiences a car crash each flight. So whatever pretty color you bought, will have scuffs etc. Dents probably too. Same with aluminum. You can buy high end soft luggage with four wheels! These will look newer for longer. Now... if you're carrying around coo-coo clocks and breakable items like porcelain dolls and dishes... then consider a one time use, relatively cheap hard side luggage.. because again.. it will look terribly after 1 flight. Unless aesthetics are not important to you, then no issues. Save the pretty luggage for carry-on.

Late to your vid in 2023. I'm buying a original check in L in silver. Read comments about airline personnel intentionally damaging luxury luggage. I also plan to get a cover from Amazon with a pattern, not clear see through, and on all my luggage I tape the handles with neon green duct tape, for visibility. I'm buying Rimowa for the supposed quality, new lifetime warranty and if needed their service. Was told at the store that significant dents can be repaired like a car body at their service center. I don't care if people can't see I'm pushing a luxe brand. Thanks for the video on the original L check in.

I love my Rimowa carry-on, but if you're looking for something "luxury" and really good quality, I'd go for a Tumi Latitude. Had mine for 5 years and I travel every two months - the body on my Tumi still looks brand new, the only scuffs are on the corners. Tough to beat!

Where do you get your stickers? That Paper Mario one is dope.

Hi, Would you still recommend Rimowa Alu today after numerous uses?

So, what type of treatment do you expect airline’s employees give to you luggage ? ….wash and polish? Come on! That’s aluminum not titanium

After 1 flight and it already looks like trash. These bags don’t look good used and “broken in.” looks like cheap, used junk now. Thanks for the video - totally convinces me to not buy this.
