The "technician" using an impact driver to put the small fasteners in during the repair was hilarious.

Waste of baggage weight allowance and waste of money. 10x the price of a decent polycarbonate luggage and it still broke

The new Rimowa suitcases don’t live up to the hype anymore. My Rimowa topas is now 25 years old and still on it’s original locks despite very heavy use. Just as an example the lock and the latch mechanism of the new Rimowa suitcases are made out of plastic, whereas the old ones were made from metal. Hence this is why those locks break on newer models. In my opinion a lock of a 2k suitcase shouldn’t break after 2 years in the first place..

Rimowa has one blemish they need to fix. For the price they could at least have an enclosed zipper side so my stuff doesn’t fall out. Not everything goes in a packing cube… and for the price include one, or two….
Zero Halliburton, tumi, Sterling Pacific, on and on have zippers…. And Rimowa now has it on one carry on for $3500

15lb for the luggage when weight limit is usally 50lbs is wild. Also it look like doodoo with all the dents and scratches. Aluminum luggage is just not good for anything other than flexing on the gram.

Did the lock break during your trip ? I have a Rinowa Hybrid and This is scary cause …… we can only rely on these 2 locks and if they open ……. It’s over …….

I agree. Rimowa is worth it but only if you travel a lot. Most people don’t travel enough to justify the cost.

Anything that depreciates is not an investment. A suitcase like this is an investment in your ego. It is also a flex because they will get banged up and likely stolen necessitating the purchase of new luggage.

This thing is just hype, and I don’t understand why would people buy a heavy luggage..just doesn’t make sense at all to me. The Samsonite C-Lite is by far the best L size luggage ever imho.

I saw someone unboxing her new rimowa luggage the edges have dents and you can really tell that they were just hammered it back to glory, my theory is that they recycling all the returned luggage and sell it again😅

None of these reasons can justify the average person to buy a rimowa even if they are avid travelers. The lifetime warranty is a good “feature” but how trustworthy is it? Do they have the freedom to reject your claim. Let’s not forget they stopped offering their lifetime warranty feature a few years ago. They just recently restarted the warranty offer.
