Certainly one of the best science channels that I know of. Ideal content and quality of information. Straight data.

Is this only planets that block the light from its star?
If that is the case we can assume there is a whole lot of more planets not blocking the star we do not see?

When you're from Toronto it sounds funny when someone not from Toronto says "Tor-on-to".
We actually pronounce it, "Trana"

I'm sure there is intelligent life in at least one of those exoplanets !

Pretty impressive work for a broken telescope.

That map will one day be known as the earliest map of the Earth Alliance Galactic Empire ;)

Mr. Petrov you are truly doing a service to humanity and common knowledge with your videos. I am very greatful and I am sure that many others are greatful as well. Thank you!

That solar pressure idea is so good, they should design all future spacecraft requiring stabilization to take advantage. I wonder if it's a good enough idea to render gyroscopes unnecessary. The lifetime of telescopes could be almost unlimited! (aside from technical obsolescence)

mentioning finding planets around pulsars, it occurred to me that if the radiation beam that spins around it fires right at any of it's planets, that would be the moment when the beam is NOT pointed at us. It would be like at those moments having a really well iluminated planet WITHOUT the glare of their star.
Taking repeated exposures between the pulsars' flashes could allow us to directly image their exoplanets
a high resolution radio image of an exoplanet with the event horizon telescope sounds awesome.

My son and I love your channel. Thanks for inspiring the next generation about science and space. Also my son wants me to tell you that he says "You are the wonderful person Anton."

Is there any way to see the map from the outside, for example from above? I'm super-curious how big a radius our plant-finding capabilities can reach. If we were looking down at our galaxy, would all those 4, 000+ planetary systems be clustered really close to us in a tiny sphere, or are we detecting them further away, further into the galaxy? As always, thanks for the great info.

I'm intrigued now... every video or documentary about the first planets discovered say that we first found them in 1994/1995 and the very first was Belerophon.
