It's mind-blowing! What SpaceX just did with European astronauts shocked NASA...
Once one of the organizations competing with the US in the aerospace industry - the European Space Agency is considered a giant on the other side of the ocean.
But we all know that they cannot send humans into space on their own.
This has been a huge humiliation for the agency as well as limited the ability of European astronauts to access the ISS for many years.
However, SpaceX has just changed the game in just one private flight on January 18, providing the ESA with an excellent alternative to alter the current landscape.
Let’s find out in today's episode of Alpha Tech! Why European astronauts is mind-blowing on SpaceX Dragon?

I like this channel, but I wish it didn't talk about the agencies being embarrassed or shocked so much. We're not like the Chinese culture, which worries about saving face so much.

100 Francs from Where have you been? I believe France uses the Euro and has done so for quite some time!

Did I miss the point where *_"NASA was shocked?"_*
I mean, I applaud SpaceX achievements for sure. But the
*_"NASA shocked"_* thing feels like clickbait & dishonest.

"A 100 franc investment from France". Great to know you have your finger of the pulse of European affairs and can keep up right up to date. BTW France abandonned the french franc, along with all other EU nations (but UK) in Y2K. Please pay attention at the back.

Right now not only they can't send humans, but they can't send anything which is a shame

The more fundamental problem that ESA has is that like most of the other organisations that are old hands at putting stuff into space, they have been extraordinarily slow in following SpaceX' lead regarding reusable launch vehicles. To the best of my knowledge ESA is still thinking in terms of single-use rocketry rather than reusable boosters. I'm of the opinion that if they don't sort out a reusable launch vehicle of their own, then they'll risk their launches becoming so expensive compared to companies like SpaceX that they'l go under, lose customers.

Axiom Space made this happen, not SpaceX. SpaceX is just the delivery system. Axiom put the mission together and chose the astronauts.

It's awesome that ESA can finally put astronauts on ISS.

So can SpaceX start launching from the ESA facility in South America and skip the American restrictions?

Are they really shocked? Could they be close to flabbergasted?? Or maybe dumbfounded? Is this an OMG moment?

No one considers the E.S.A a big deal; not even the Europeans.

Great video. Yes the old US system and trying to spread space funding around to all the congressional districts so projects could get funding did not work well at all. Sounds like the EU is having the same problems. It ends up being a good old boy network and everything becomes sloppy. I wish there was a way for SpaceX to setup and launch from the EU.

Definitely a click-bait title. We live in a world where this is not "mind-blowing" anymore. It's expected!

Sometimes I wonder about the images shown in videos like this. For example, at 6:51 in this video, the dialog is about "European diversity as a main source of intellectual and practical innovation today...". That statement is probably true, however, the video is showing the "Morrison Bridge" and its connections to the I-5 freeway in Portland Oregon (USA). I do not see the connection between the verbiage and image.
