Welcome to my random musings on all things backpacking. If you haven't already guessed, my name is Dan. I was bit by the backpacking bug in 2014 and since then haven't gone one day without thinking about my next adventure. Hahahahaha this video is hilarious. Agreed on the littering...it is so maddening when people throw their trash on the trail. We need to preserve the environment so other people can enjoy it too. Thanks for sharing!

1) ppl not following no trace principles
2) playing music on the trail/at night/noisy groups
3) people not following trail etiquette
4) Drones and instagrammers

I have a problem with people making videos on the trail. Haha... kidding. I have a question: What if you walk past a fellow who is hiking, playing his guitar, and singing "Take Me Home, Country Roads" in perfect tune? Oh, and what if it was John Denver reincarnated?

#1 worst. People who do not dig a proper cat hole. Anotherwise beautiful campsite on the Manistee River Trail, MI was ruined by a bucket that was used for you guessed it. Left behind for all future backpackers/campers to find.💩
