I’ve been flying for airlines for 16 years. I started at $24 an hour in 2007.

I'm a CFI and your 401k DC is more than I make in a year 😂

You need to adjust your W-4 to increase your additional withholding. Contact your HR and they should be able to help eith that.

I’m happy that pilots at United Airlines have Union protection and paid sick leave in addition to paid vacation time. Healthy work life balance and family time is so essential.

You mentioned that each airline is different, so does that mean some pilots at other airlines do not have union protection, paid sick leave, or paid vacation time for healthy work life balance?

Who employs the air traffic controllers? Do you know if they have union protection, paid sick leave, and paid vacation time?

Commercial pilots & air traffic controllers deserve a healthy work life balance and a work environment that supports that. Your important roles are very much appreciated.
