The FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot exam requires you to know how to read a meteorological terminal aviation routine report, commonly known as a METAR.

If you are serious about getting your drone pilot license, knowing how to read a METAR report is absolutely essential.

A METAR is a routine aviation weather report given in hourly or half-hourly intervals. METARs describe the meteorology elements observed at any given time.

Predominantly used by pilots as part of a pre-flight weather briefing, METAR reports are also used by meteorologists to aid in weather forecasting. The METAR is standardized by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and is understood worldwide.

00:48 - Isn't it more accurate to say that it's the direction the wind is "coming from". You state, "is blowing"....it's actually blowing toward the opposite direction, in this case toward 40*, right?

Since we aren't actually going to be using METARs in real life, it'd be nice if you'd actually explain the one on the test.
