I am glad that I have learned a lot about the two countries, particularly Japan, to which I do not belong.
Japan is a society with social hierarchies, which means that anything they do must be approved by those above them. In terms of individualism, Asia is known for being collectivist countries where people place a high value on family and believe they are responsible for every member of their family or friends. Japan and the Philippines, both Asian countries known for their high collectivism.
At 95, Japan is one of the world's most Masculine societies. They exhibit competitive behavior, which means that when there is a competition, they are more motivated to work. That is why women continue to struggle to advance because their masculine norms are too demanding and necessitate long working hours. While the Philippines scored 64, indicating that it is also a masculine country. . In terms of uncertainty avoidance, Japan ranks among the best in the world. They are always prepared for whatever may happen. They always have an emergency plan in place. In the Philippines, unlike Japan, they always avoid uncertainty. They always say "bahala na" all the time, which is why when something bad happens, they are unprepared.
I am happy to learn new things about other countries because in this way I can get to know them better and know their behaviors more.

Due to the possibility of natural catastrophes, Japan is one of the nations that prioritized removing as much uncertainty from their citizens' lives as possible. Being ready for anything has become second nature to the Japanese since they are so used to being on high alert. The Japanese are not good at saving money for the future, they value tradition greatly, and they have an obsessive fixation with discovering unquestionably accurate truths. Filipinos are more inclined than the typical person to save money for the future when compared to the rest of the globe. The culture of Japan is renowned for being fascinated with distant occurrences. What I've discovered is that Japanese people accept that their culture follows unequal treatment based on status, even though Japan is almost at the borderline level; they are essentially at the same level in the case of our own country, which is a part of the Philippines. This is demonstrated by the fact that they ask the permission of those above them before they do certain actions. Asian nations are renowned for having collectivist, family-centered people who value individualism. Both Japan and the Philippines have lost their way in terms of invasive individualism, which means they are more inclined to bring their neighbors together and take care of them.

I learned new things and gained knowledge about Japan and the Philippines by using Hofstede's Six Dimensions. Japan is a hierarchical society in which people are always aware of their social hierarchy and act accordingly. In Japan, power distance is established as early as childhood. And in the Philippines, it indicates that the society accepts a hierarchical structure in which everyone has a position and no additional justification is required. Japan and the Philippines are considered collectivist countries in terms of individualism. Japanese society does not have an extended family system, but they are known for their company loyalty. By Western standards, the Japanese are collectivists, but by Asian standards, they are individualists. Japanese people are more private, which demonstrates how much Japanese culture values politeness and teamwork. Japanese are more private, which demonstrates how Japanese culture emphasizes politeness and working together as a group, with an emphasis on what is good for the group rather than what is good for the individual. While the Philippines is considered a collectivistic society, it exhibits a close long-term commitment to the member or group, whether it is a family extended or extended relationships. Furthermore, Japan was regarded as one of the world's most masculine societies. Japan is also one of the most uncertain-avoidance countries, which can be attributed to the fact that the country is constantly threatened by natural disasters, so the Japanese learn to prepare for any uncertain situations. While the Philippines has a low preference for avoiding uncertainty because the majority of Filipinos have a "BAHALA NA" attitude, or leaving everything in God's hands, Japan is one of the most long-term oriented societies, whereas the Philippines are more normative that pragmatic people within the societies have a strong concern with establishing absolute truths, they exhibit great respect for traditions, and they have a relatively low propensity to save for the future.

Using Hofstede's Six Dimensions, I discovered new information about Japan and the Philippines. Japan is a society with social hierarchies where people always act in accordance with their social status. Power distance is established in childhood in Japan. In addition, it demonstrates that society in the Philippines accepts a hierarchical structure in which everyone holds a position and requires no additional justification. Regarding individualism, Japan and the Philippines are regarded as collectivist nations. Although Japanese society does not have a system of extended families, they are known for their loyalty to their employers. The Japanese adhere to individualism while the Western world views them as collectivists. The fact that Japanese people are more private demonstrates the importance of politeness and teamwork in Japanese culture. Japanese are more private, which exhibits how Japanese culture stresses pleasantness and cooperating collectively, with an accentuation on what is great for the gathering instead of what is really great for the person. Although the Philippines is considered a collectivistic society, it demonstrates a close, long-term commitment to the member or group, regardless of whether it is extended family or extended relationships. Additionally, Japan was regarded as one of the most masculine societies in the world. Due to the constant threat posed by natural disasters, Japan is one of the countries that avoid uncertainty the most. As a result, the Japanese learn to prepare for any uncertain circumstances. Japan is one of the most long-term-oriented societies, whereas the Philippines are more typical in that pragmatic people within the societies have a strong concern with establishing absolute truths, they exhibit great respect for traditions, and they have a relatively low propensity to save for the future.

What I've learn from Japanese people is they are culturally in hierarchy society. People always act in line with their social rank in the socially hierarchical society of Japan. In Japan, power distance is determined early on. It also shows that society in the Philippines supports a system of hierarchy in which everyone has a position and is justified without more explanation. Japan and the Philippines are regarded as collectivist countries in terms of individuality. Japanese people are renowned for their commitment to their employers, despite the fact that they do not have a system of extended families. While the West sees the Japanese as collectivists, they promote individualism. Japanese culture values civility and cooperation, as seen by the fact that they are more private than other cultures. Japanese people tend to be more private, which demonstrates how the culture places a strong emphasis on being polite and working together as a group rather than what is truly best for an individual. Despite being seen as a collectivistic culture, the Philippines exhibits a tight, enduring attachment to the individual or group, whether it be extended family or extended partnerships. Japan was also thought to be one of the most patriarchal cultures in the world. Japan is one of the nations that avoids uncertainty the most due to the ongoing threat provided by natural catastrophes. The Philippines are more typical in that pragmatic people there have a significant concern with establishing absolute facts, they show great regard for traditions, and they have a relatively low inclination to prepare for the future. Japan is one of the most long-term-oriented nations.

What I have learned is that Japanese people are aware of the hierarchical status that makes them ask for the permission of those above them before they do certain actions given this is the fact that they accept that their culture is following unequal treatment based on their status, although Japan is almost just in the borderline level they are pretty much in the same in the case of our own country which is part of the Philippines. In terms of individualism, Asian countries are known for being collectivist, family-oriented individuals. Both the countries Japan and the Philippines gained a lost course in terms of intrude individualism meaning that they are most likely to put the people in their community into harmony taking care of each other rather than living independently. Both countries are considered as a high score masculine dimension however having a score of 94 in Japan shows that it is only bigger in terms of masculinity compared to the Philippines. This can also be seen in the Japanese Japanese culture where most masculine individuals from their society have a greater responsibility to support their family, they are more focused on wanting what's best for all rather than doing what they want to do which is considered a feminine fundamental.
Compared to the Philippines, Japan gained a high score of 92 in terms of uncertainty avoidance, it has been discussed that the country is pretty much prepared and cautious about what could happen in the future. Added to this Japan also has a high score on long-term orientation which makes them focus on their long-term involvement of adaptability and progress for the future.
And lastly, Japan gained a low score of 42 making them a restrained country. Compared to the Philippines they are both fonds of the idea of prioritizing what they think makes their social status better rather than putting their happiness first.

I was able to significantly improve my understanding of Japanese and Filipino culture by using Hofstede's six dimensions. In Japan, where there are distinct social stratifications, people always act appropriately for their social rank. Because of Japan's distinct social hierarchies, this is the case. Children in Japanese society are taught to respect those in positions of authority from a young age. Furthermore, it demonstrates that the majority of the Filipino people have no objections to a clearly defined hierarchy in which everyone has a specific place. It is common to generalize about countries with collectivist cultures, such as Japan and the Philippines, when compared to the United States. Despite the fact that large extended families are rare in Japanese society, Japanese workers are known for their unwavering dedication to their jobs. Despite the stereotype that Japanese people are collectivists, individualism is highly valued in Japanese society. The Japanese place a high value on privacy, demonstrating the significance of discretion and teamwork in Japanese culture. The Japanese have a tendency to isolate themselves, reflecting the importance of social graces and teamwork in Japanese culture. Individual needs are frequently placed ahead of the common good. Despite popular perceptions of the Philippines as a collectivist society, its people are known for their extraordinary dedication to the families and communities with which they are in some way connected, whether by blood or by choice. Furthermore, Japan was thought to have one of the world's most masculine civilizations. Japan is one of the countries that prioritizes removing as much uncertainty from their lives as possible due to the risk of natural disasters. The Japanese have become so accustomed to being on high alert that being prepared for anything has become a habit. The Japanese have a low proclivity for future savings, a deep respect for tradition, and an unhealthy obsession with determining undeniably true truths. When compared to the rest of the world, Filipinos are more likely than average people to save money for the future. Japan's culture is well known for being preoccupied with far-off events.
