The Weak Spot in Megatron's Alt Mode in Transformers 2. Megatron's body in Transformers 2 was somewhat of a gift and a curse. After his remains were recovered he was put back together using the parts of a Constructicon called Scrapper. Which is a funny name given how much of a downgrade his components were to his leader. But the features did come with its benefits. Not only could Megatron fly in his Cybertronian Jet mode. He could now transform into a groundbase vehicle in the form of a Tank. Which added to his versility and gave him power. But it would limit him in other areas. For 1 the new treads made his legs a lot thicker which would reduce his speed. But the most crippling aspect would have to be in his tank mode. Unlike other alt modes that hid the vital components within the vehicle. Megatron's head was exposed. While it allowed him to see his enemies it decreased his reaction time. But it also made it easy for his enemies to shoot him in the face.

One thing I always noticed with Megatron's design in Revenge of the Fallen was how dinky his left arm was. I don't know if I was seeing things, or if it's the toy that's giving me some sort of Mandela Effect where Megatron's left arm appeared to be smaller than it actually was.

His tank design reminds me of his Armada tank version, where his conversation head can be seen sticking out between the tracks. What's more, his head sticks to the ground, decreasing awareness.

I never looked too closely at the CGI soup that was Megatron’s tank mode. Also, 14yrs later i just realized that the building in the background at the start of this Short looks like the Autobot emblem. It’s not perfect and a bit abstract, but you can see the eyes at the top, the door at the bottom as the mouth, etc.

It was also pointed out Megatron was inbalanced in his robot mode. He was perfectly balanced before, necessary as a brawler. But with the heavier cannon on his right arm it also threw his balance in close quarters combat.

Megatron has many alt modes with his head visible in different continuities like armada, bayverse 07 and 09, prime from the ones I can recall

Technically Cybertronians can see while in alt mode so his face being exposed is completely pointless
