As a whole Dead Island 2 gets a 9/10 from me. Only because the ending felt rushed and sudden I only wished the game's story provided more. Other than that it is golden

I have sunk hours into both. I am thankful I have. 2023 has felt like a remake in my head, sort of. Somethings stick out to me, remembering them in the older build. Notably the music, 2023 has very remixed tracks from the old build, but you can still vaguely hear it.

2015 has many things to make it more challanging zombies can now break through the doors.

2023 they just made those zombies into a complete punchline with nothing to offer.

Dead island 2 fron 2015 was the same as dead island 1 but in a diferent location While Dead Island 2 from 2023 feels like a different game and is also more realistic with the graphics

Even though I really enjoyed the final game (finished it after about a week, never saw the ending of the first game or Riptide tbh), apart from the excellent dismemberment system I am not quite sure what took them so long to finish the game. They probably tried for years to develop a coherent open world instead of hub levels ?!
