The original scene was particularly interesting to me because it's the one time in the entire game that Ada actually let her guard down. She was pretty much an untouchable baddass up until that point and had a plan B for everything. Even when Leon got her gun in the initial meeting, her glasses were a timed flashbang, so she still had her guard up. In that scene, it was almost like she was hoping to pick up where they left off until Leon grabbed her throat.

It also helps that Sally did such a good job with the voicework compared to Lilly.

So while the memes are real, I liked it a lot because the subtle storytelling was still there.
