Amazon Fire TV: How to Turn On HDMI-CEC ARC / eARC

I show you how to turn on or off the HDMI-CEC ARC / eARC (HDMI port to send audio from TV to your sound bar or AV receiver) on an Amazon Fire TV. Hope this helps.

I have the latest 2022 Fire TV cube model, and the CEC control doesn’t show the eARC function in the menu. Dolby Atmos doesn’t show on my TV menu when showing that content.

What model of Fire Stick TV do you have?
I don't have this setting to enable HDMI ARC/eARC.
Maybe there should be speakers connected to the Fire Stick TV?

i recently brought fire stick 4max and i am trying to setup with my denon avr, i connected my hisanse tv with arc port and i connected fire stick into the spare hdmi port in denon avr but still volume button and power button not working, can you please advice me, thanks in advance

I've just bought and setup a fire TV this week (02.2022) and can confirm there is no sub menu to the CEC device that mean that the activating of the ARC function is automatically turned ON when the CEC control is also ON? For me ARC isn't working....

Quick question. I have usb headphones, will this work cuz it doesn't seem to change when I change it. I can't seem to find any setting that will allow my USB headphones to work with wither fire tv or roku tv. Any ideas?

sorry but what does the ARC or eARC actually do? I am struggling to connect my LG soundbar to my new FireTV which is just like yours, and even though the TV sees my soundbar on the list, it always says Pairing unsuccessful each time. And when I go to the Connecting Device menu, the Bluetooth audio sync sub menu is greyed out. When I select HDMI on my soundbar and connect the cable, it does nothing as well. 
So I can neither pair via sync/bluetooth nor via HDMI - it is frustrating and will appreciate if anyone can help please.

With the new Update, this Information is not 100% correct. This option is not available, if the Stick is connected to AVR/TV´s eARC Port, because eARC is overwriting CEC. CEC is only needed with ARC if I understood right. So: if it is connected to eARC, the devices are handling the options itselfe. If everything works, dont touch it. If it doesn´t work (when connected to eARC Port), disable CEC on TV/AVR, also HDMI Steering Control. You will see, it is working anyway. (only if all devices support eARC).

Just got this TV and it will not play any of my DVD players or blue ray players.... called Amazon and they told me to freaking call all the manufacturers of those 3 DVD/ Blue ray players to see if thee are compatible with the TV!!! are you kidding me?...sending this TV back to Amazon tomorrow...should be called stupid TV not Smart TV....
