Steak and Pea Alfredo Pasta recipe
Ingredients:
Sirloin Steak:
2 - 6 oz. Omaha Steaks Sirloin Supremes
2 tablespoons Omaha Steaks seasoning
Pasta:
1/2 lb linguini pasta
2 tablespoons butter, divided
1 cup fresh or frozen peas
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Zest of 1 lemon
Salt and pepper
Fresh basil or parsley, for garnish
Sirloin Steak:
1. Season the steak with Omaha Steaks seasoning.
2. In a large skillet or grill pan over medium-high heat, cook the steak to your desired level of doneness (about 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare). Let the steak rest for a few minutes before slicing into thin strips.
Pasta:
1. Cook the linguine pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
2. In a skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
3. Add the fresh or frozen peas to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes until they are just tender.
4. Pour in the heavy cream, stirring constantly.
5. Add the grated Parmesan cheese and continue to stir until the cheese is melted and the sauce is smooth.
6. Add the juice and zest of a lemon
7. Toss the cooked linguine pasta and sliced steak into the skillet with the Alfredo sauce. Mix until everything is well coated. Finish the dish with lemon zest for a fresh and zesty kick. Garnish with fresh basil or parsley.
