5 Reasons NOT To Buy A BMW R1250RS

A super quick Motorbike review, just to point out the not so good bits of a BMW R1250RS

I think I disagree. My last 3 bikes had 17 liter tanks and got way less then 65mpg. So I think 18 litters at 65mpg is fair. They have things called gas stations anyway, that you can fill your tank at.

The rest of the points are pretty meh if you ask me.

Agree with all you said, but certainly not reasons not to buy one. The positives of the RS far outweigh the nitpicks you mentioned. I can't think of a bike that has zero issues.

No1 reason is the buffering…other than that it’s a great bike.

I think the indicator was a joke of a reason. The rest were decent. The petrol tank could be a miter if two bigger. Those blinkers are bright and take a beating. The main reason is the R1300RS. You’re welcome !

I have a R1200RS and I love it, no plans on ever changing it but even if I did the latest idea from BMW of indicators becoming your rear side/brake/indicators is about as well thought out as when they put indicator switching on each bar and a separate cancel button on your throttle hand … it’s always two steps forward one step back with BMW sadly but the RS design in general I like ( sporty enough for fun yet far more user friendly ( comfy) than a full on sportsbike

240/230 mile range for this type of bike is ok, , the rest iof the points can be managed 👍 after market

the 1. reason is bullshit:
my bike burns 4, 5 lt per 100 km, so the range ist nearly 400 km and thats enough for a tourer...

Range fully loaded (topcase, panniers), I do 320km A roads, around 380km b roads, 340km mixed. Windscreen - I prefer the look over functionality, so it's acceptable. SatNav is getting better and better with each update and placement is fine. It's easily accessible. I found mobile app quite intuitive and have 0 complains regarding turn signals. Overall it's the best sports touring bike I owned. It's definitely not for everyone, more sportier kind of touring bike, but that's exactly what I was looking for. These bikes are dying breed, everything now is enduro with road tires and big engines like Ducati Multi, Triump Tigers etc. Just don't make these stupid videos where you basically discourage a potential buyers, because you ride something that you doesn't enjoy...
