Thanks for your comprehensive and sensitive coverage of this tragic blaze. I fought forest fires here in Canada in the mountains of B.C. when I was 20 years of age and I know firsthand how deadly and scary forest fires/brush fires can be. I'm 74 now but I will never forget the toil, sweat and smoke. God bless all fire crews in this area.

I’m watching the Airport Fire from my window, my heart hurts. It got so close to us, I’ve never been so scared before, it keeps changing direction & growing exponentially. I’m forever grateful it turned around away from our house, but that means it turned to a different location. I am just beside myself, I’ve never really experienced anything like this before, it’s truly disheartening. I’m praying for everyone around me, we are all surrounded by fire.

Good grief. We evacuated from the Line fire back when it was much smaller. Then the Airport fire happened. Then later the Bridge fire happened after that. Now the Bridge fire is huge. The firefighters are heroes here, saving everyone and putting their own lives on the line.

My thanks goes to channel 5 news personnel who are covering this dangerous situation. My prayers are many for the families affected by this tragic incident. May you all find strength and guidance from God the Father and divine protection. To the brave and courageous firemen- you are in my prayers. God be with you and provide the wisdom and strength you need and the very air you breathe in abundance.

US citizens shouldn’t have to worry about the homes. They should be covered by insurance or rebuilt by the government without any question. This couple worked their whole lives and paid good money for their home they should not have to take on this burden

Prayers for all fire fighters and everyone involved! Like a big Hurricane some choose to stay then need to be saved. Sad.

Las Vegas air looks like Northern California air during the Camp fire.

From my own experience with numerous fires in my area several years ago. People wait too long to evacuate. Too many wait for the orders. Then everyone leaves at the same time and create a traffic jam while other are driving to the area to be lookiloos and some to loot and cause trouble.

These fires break my heart for everyone, and every living creature. I moved from around this area, to near Seattle because I could breathe Air. I can see Mt. Ranier every day, it’s an active Volcano that is just sleeping. A better risk, says me.

What animals that survive, will be coming down out of the mountains to find food and water. We will need to keep pur pet's inside for a while. We already have coyotes that prowl the neighborhood without the fire.
