What about reflecting about a point? Of course the point would have to be the origin to be linear, but I think it would be worth mentioning, since it basically just multiplies every vector by -1.

Can we think of the reflection transformation as a kind of rotation?

Am I correct in saying that
1) the eigenspace corresponding to eigenvalue 1 is 2D
2) the eigenspace cooresponding to eigenvalue -1 is 1D
3) But, overall eigenspace of transformation is 3D
Also, will the overall eigenspace will always be 3D for 3D geometric transformations?
