I love how you don't skip steps. You do not assume people can follow leaps in logic that skip 2-3 steps at a time. I think a lot of capable students get lost in those types of lectures whereas your lecture style helps you peer into the way a pro mathematician approaches things.

Thanks Dr Grinfield for the many hours of instruction on linear algebra that i just never really understood in my college days at Northeastern University.I make it a point to watch your insightful videos to try to develope a correct and deeper appreciation for the Mathematics that i just didn't get back in school. Thanks Again

Indeed thank god you are not a lawyer, since you are a great linear algebra teacher

Thx for drilling in the differences btw geometric vectors, polynomial and Rn. I used to wonder why ppl bother with the term vector "spaces" and I get it now thx to your teaching method.

Thank you! You're the best math teacher that most of us never had.

After speeding though the brilliant.org course on linear algebra I felt I had done ok but my knowledge was flaky. Getting to this point in these videos has seemed quite laborious in comparison (I'm naturally impatient) but now its getting really interesting and the care you take to explain is definitely giving me a much more solid grounding that I know will pay off later. Thank you!

2:45 : Geometric Vectors
4:42 : IMPORTANT NOTE : translate the concept to other vector spaces -> using Subspaces
5:28 : IMPORTANT NOTE : define when the decomposition problem has no solution

...still very impressed with the organisation of this thinking.

"If all decomposition problems had a unique solution, linear algebra wouldn't be a tenth as interesting as it is, and I probably would've become a lawyer. Thank God that is not the case!"

I have a query, if c becomes a zero vector whether or not can be a linear combination of a and b?
