"Why did you save me? Because you hope I'll turn out like you?"
"...Because I hope that you won't."

Jason in this did not want Davey to become a rage filled revenant like him. But to give him a bit of humanity by letting him have some joy. The joy Jason never had😢

It's interesting that Jason has consistently shown he doesn't want to hurt kids. He has a moral code, unlike most slasher villains. He doesn't hurt kids and he doesn't hurt animals needlessly.

I know Jason doesn’t like to kill kids does he care for a kid who looks like him or a kid that gets bullied angers him like he have happened to him in general

For Jason that’s honestly pretty wholesome

It’s sad for Jason because he sees a reflection of himself in the kid and doesn’t want him to suffer like he did.

Jason: “What’s your name kid?”
“It’s Dason”
Jason: “Woah”

This is what sets Jason apart from the rest. Jason is rage-filled, hurt and vengeful but he isn't truly evil. Freddy, Michael or Chuckie wouldn't do this.

Edit: Woah, with this many accumulating likes, there’s no way I can not mention this. If you’re interested in what a cross between nu-metal and gothic rock (heavy influences from LP, Depeche Mode, HIM, BMTH and others) dedicated to mental health and personal growth would sound like, please give my tunes a listen!)

I would like to see something like this happen in a new Friday The 13th movie.

Jason will always be an iconic killer and can always somewhat be seen and made having small redemption moments..after he returns back to killing more people, but still is amazing

A rare moment to see Jason doing something nice for a stranger.

Maniac Cop 3 took notes from this and did the same thing, with the killer cleaning the name of a policewoman that was framed, like he was. so much anger and yet, a shred of empathy made the entire movie focus on him helping her.

That reminds me of that one scene from Friday the 13th part 8 Jason takes Manhattan where he saves that girl from drug dealers

Jason is not entirely a villian of pure evil, but rather just a heartbroken, rageful, and vengeful inner child in a grown corpse.

This was actually beautiful to witness like we are so used to seeing jason being this brutal killer ripping and slicing people to pieces to but see to a moment of humanity and compassion i thought was such a refreshing thing to see. Really goes to show that not only is the child within jason is there but that there is understanding what that kind of bullying can do to someone
