Interesting fact on this film was that Jason was suppose to kick a dog instead of the radio, but the Actor who played Jason refused, saying not even Jason is that bad to kick a dog.

0:47 Jason hated the boombox so much he kicked in twice

Jason was oddly really polite in this scene. Not going on a mass murdering trip and only knocking a radio, breaking a wall kool-aid man style, and throwing one guy into a mirror without killing them. No unnecessary casualties

Most of the locals being calm to the events happening is a certified New York moment

The fact that Jason had some mercy showing his face to the kids instead of killing them 👌

This is what sets Jason apart from any other slasher for me; his self-awareness

He has emotions besides “I WANT TO KILL”, he gets surprised by his surrounds, he gets annoyed as evidenced by the kids.

But the jewel of this scene is when he takes off his mask, as if to say: “yeah, I know I’m ugly, but I’ll make you uglier”

He just has so many subtleties that set him apart from someone like Michael Myers

The way Jason just admires the area he is in at the beginning is lowkey adorable, then he goes back to killing which is funny. 😂

I always find it interesting how Jason has always been a stealthy killer hiding and striking in the dark. Here, he's surrounded by thousands of people, in full public view

The part when Jason kicks the boom box is so unintentionally funny.

The fact that Jason knew that pulling his mask up would scare them off is funny. (EDIT) JESUS CHRIST I DIDNT EXPECT THIS MANY LIKES.

He always just kills everyone, but never talks about what's killing him

I love how he just didn't feel like wasting his time trying to kill those teens so he just scares them off lmao

1:47 Fun fact: The guy that gets thrown by Jason in the diner is Ken Kirzinger, who later played Jason in Freddy vs Jason in 2003.

Like how Jason is looking around Times Square in somewhat curiosity. He probably never would've thought he'd ever get to visit New York so he's in a completely different environment than the standard forests he's used to. Amazing detail.
